Experience the best
of baked salmon

Experience the mild and juicy flavour of perfectly baked salmon. The uniform thickness of the Frøya loins provides the basis for even cooking, whether you want a butter-tender loin straight from the oven or flavourful chunks for a warm salad.

Preparations

Preparation

For best results, remove the Frøya pack from the fridge and open the packaging. Gently wipe the fish with some kitchen paper to remove excess moisture. Then let the fish rest at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before baking it in the oven.

Knife selection

Use your sharpest knife, preferably a sashimi knife or other sharp knife with a long blade. The long blade is important for cutting slices in one continuous movement.

Procedure

How to bake Frøya salmon perfectly in the oven
  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 180°C for gentle and even cooking.
  2. Preparation: Place the loin in a baking dish and brush lightly with neutral oil. Season as desired.
  3. Baking: Place the tin in the centre of the oven and bake the salmon until it reaches a core temperature of 46°C. This usually takes 9 minutes, depending on the thickness of the loin.
  4. Rest time: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for at least 3 minutes before serving to preserve its juiciness.
